my daughter took me here for fathers day we both really enjoyed the comfortable cultural atmosphere and decor.. the sushi was top notch and is now our go to sushi resturant

The only reason I am giving a 2 instead of a one is because my mother-in-law liked the Panang Curry. I took my inlaws there because they wanted to go there of all places, for their 60 year anniversary and it was the worst night ever. It started with barely understanding the waitress, to her being rude. I ordered the shrimp veggie dish and it was absolutely horrible, the shrimp wasn't even cooked and I have had a night and day of food poisoning. My father in-law ordered a $40 filet grouper and it was mostly bread. They asked for plastic to go containers and the waitress just started screaming too much too much because she wanted 3 of them for her food and sauce sauce. I told them I would be more than willing to pay for the extra container but all she kept saying was too much too much. My father-in-law tried to speak to the manager but they wouldn't get them or give the name of the manager so he could speak to them, just grabbed another waitress to apologize. It's not about the money, we spent $100 for 3 people with no drinks and I tipped the waitress nice even though it was the worst experience and worst food I've ever had. I have to been to this location about 13 years ago, I remember it being good back then. I decided to try it again and I was very disappointed. Appetizer sampler was overcooked, basically burnt! Soup was bland and flavorless. Vegetables were not fresh. The crab meat in my soup was gummy and funny looking. I did not eat it. Hubby ordered a lobster dish that came out looking 110% disgusting. Lobster was old. My beef broccoli was not good. The sauce was basically water. Meat was tough and chewy. We just asked for the check and left. Waitress asked if we wanted to go boxes and we declined. We did not eat it. No bueno! Best thing about the experience was the decor and the Thai tea. I really do not like leaving bad reviews, but when it’s this bad I have no choice.

The Pad Thai was very bland. It didn’t have enough sauce or flavor, and I’ve had much better versions at other places. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for Pad Thai.

I had the chicken and cream of coconut soup at Ban Thai & Sushi Restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. Every spoonful felt comforting, like something made with real care. I also enjoyed a Thai iced tea, which was fantastic — perfectly balanced and refreshing. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service kind, and everything came together for a truly lovely meal. I’ll definitely be back!
